Azerbaijan, Greece sign MoU on cooperation in field of sports
Baku, April 21, AZERTAC
Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Youth and Sports and Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of sports.
The document was signed as part of a visit of Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov to Greece.
Prior to the signing ceremony, Azad Rahimov held a meeting at the country's Ministry of Culture and Sports. The meeting discussed prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of sports.
The MoU aims to strengthen the legal framework in the field of sports.
Azad Rahimov also attended the event which was organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in connection with the presentation of the book published in Greek and dedicated to national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The Azerbaijani Minister will join the XXXI Summer Olympic and XIV Paralympic Games flame lighting ceremony in Greece.
Azad Rahimov visited Greece at the invitation of Greek Olympic Committee President Spyros Capralos.
