Azerbaijan-India business forum takes place in Baku
Baku, July 27 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan-India business forum on the theme “Development of business ties with India” took place today here with the organizational support of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Confederation of Employers and Embassy of India in Baku.
President of Employers Confederation Mammad Musayev, addressing the participants told that the Forum`s main goal is discussion of business, trading and investment possibilities with the businessmen of Azerbaijan and India, and also adjustment of relations between businessmen of two countries. As he said, during last period the economic cooperation between two are activated.
He also informed that following the results of first half of current year in Azerbaijan there is observed high growth of economy. As he said, Azeri businessmen prefer to invest in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Turkey, etc. "We want, that our businessmen in India, and the Indian businessmen in our country invested in different spheres of economy and organized joint ventures", the head of Confederation told.
The Ambassador of India in Azerbaijan Debnat Show noted that one of main objectives of this forum is granting of fuller and detailed information for local businessmen about business climate of India. The diplomat underlined that Azerbaijan is a perspective country for foreign investments.
The head of department of development ministry Huseyn Pashayev noted that the Forum is organized in the frame the appropriate Memorandum of cooperation, signed earlier. The ministry always supported carrying out of such actions. In independent Azerbaijan special significance is attached to business development, he stressed.
Representatives of the investment companies, businessmen from Azerbaijan and India, also representatives of mass-media took part in action.
