Azerbaijan, Iran mull economic cooperation

Azerbaijan and Iran have explored ways of developing cooperation as Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev met with a delegation led by Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Reza Rahmani.
Minister Mustafayev emphasized that thanks to the political will and friendly ties of the Azerbaijani and Iranian presidents, a solid foundation has been laid for the development of economic cooperation between the two countries. He said that the Azerbaijani-Iranian relations have rapidly developed over the past five years.
The Iranian Minister Reza Rahmani underlined that the discussions held during his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will play an important role in further expansion of bilateral relations between the two countries. He said Iran-Azerbaijan relations continue to develop and have reached a high level over the recent years.
Rahmani noted that the two countries’ presidents attach great importance to the development of bilateral relations. He mentioned that there are favorable conditions for entrepreneurs in Iran and the Azerbaijani businessmen can benefit from these opportunities.
The sides discussed the expansion of cooperation in the fields of industry, agriculture, trade, small and medium entrepreneurship, as well as implementation of joint projects between the two countries.
