Azerbaijan, Morocco sign first intergovernmental documents
Baku, March 15 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan and Morocco have signed first intergovernmental documents.
Azerbaijani and Moroccan Justice Ministers Fikrat Mammadov and Mohammad Nasiri inked a bilateral agreement on cooperation in justice, as well as agreement on mutual legal assistance on criminal affairs, mutual legal assistance on civil and commercial affairs and agreement on mutual extradition of criminals.
Speaking to the signing ceremony, Mammadov praised the two countries` cooperation within international organizations.
The Azerbaijani minister praised the Moroccan government for supporting his country`s territorial integrity.
“We also thank the government of Morocco for backing Azerbaijan`s just stance on the international scale.”
Mammadov said the agreements would boost the two counties` cooperation in fighting against crimes and protecting human rights.
“The agreement we`ve signed today will also serve to develop economic relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco,” he added.
Nasiri said Morocco attached a particular emphasis on developing relations with Azerbaijan.
The minister said Morocco was carrying out legal reforms, adding “we intend benefit from Azerbaijan`s experience”.
