Azerbaijan ready to liberate its occupied lands
Baku, February 11 (AZERTAC). Defense minister of Azerbaijan, colonel-general Safar Abiyev met today with the OSCE Minsk group co-chairs Bernard Fassier of France, Igor Popov of Russia, Robert Bradtke of the US, and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.
Safar Abiyev said “despite the unsuccessful efforts of the Minsk Group we do hope to this mission”. Noting that Azerbaijan hopes for join efforts for solution of the conflict Safarov stressed the peace is possible only in case when Armenia will leave occupied lands.
Minister Safarov said Azerbaijan takes serious measures to liberate its lands noting that in this case the countries do the same. And Azerbaijan blames nobody in this question.
Defense minister Abiyev stressed necessity of application of the international rules in settlement of the conflict, producing evidence from practice of other countries. According to him, it is regretful that Azerbaijan faces double standards in this question.
In the meeting, the visitors exchanged views on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the situation at the contact line.
