Azerbaijan, Russia discuss humanitarian cooperation

Azerbaijan and Russia have discussed humanitarian cooperation as deputy prime ministers Ali Ahmadov and Olga Golodets met in Baku.
Mr Ahmadov thanked his Russian counterpart for participating in the 5th Baku International Humanitarian Forum. He hailed Russia`s active participation in Azerbaijan-hosted international events. He pointed out that the Baku Forum was a good platform for discussing global humanitarian affairs.
Ms Golodets highlighted the global importance of the issues discussed at the Humanitarian Forum. She said the event was a joint initiative of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia.
Ms Golodets who visited Baku for the first time said that city “charmed” her. She said the city offers a stunning mix of architecture and modernity.
They expressed the two countries` readiness to continue cooperation in the fields of science and education, culture and tourism, and to promote each others` culture and art.
