Azerbaijan State Committee of Land and Cartography hosts seminar

Baku, July 19 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan State Committee of Land and Cartography has held today a seminar on geographic information space.

Chairman of the Committee Garib Mammadov said in 2009 Azerbaijan and Korea have signed an agreement on improvement of cadastre system, adding “Korea has allocated $1.500.000” for this purpose”.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Korea and Azerbaijan State Committee of Land and Cartography have jointly realized a project on improvement of cadastre system in Azerbaijan.

The first level of the project covered 10 square kilometers of area in Zira settlement of Khazar region. At the same time approximately 30 Azerbaijani experts have been in Korea.

The two countries have held an agreement on the continuation of the project covering all area of Khazar region.

Speaking to the seminar, ambassador of Korea to Azerbaijan Lee Chi-han expressed satisfaction over cooperation with Azerbaijan.

The attendees have also viewed presentation of Korean space information policy and cadastre information system.
