Azerbaijan, Tajikistan discuss expansion of economic and trade cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin on the sidelines of the SPECA Week held in Baku.
During the meeting, the two discussed economic and trade relations, promotion of investments, expansion of business dialogue and other issues.
Speaking about the development of economic relations with Tajikistan, Minister Mikayil Jabbarov hailed the contribution of the Economic Forum and meetings held within the SPECA Week to the strengthening of relations with Central Asia. Highlighting the great potential for enhancing cooperation between the two countries in energy, agriculture, industry and other fields, the sides stressed that joint projects, such as the creation of an agro-industrial cluster, could contribute to the economy of both countries.
Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin emphasized that his country attaches importance to the development of economic cooperation with Azerbaijan, sharing his views on the expansion of partnership in various areas, including the transit sector.
The meeting focused on the prospects of partnership in bilateral format and within international organizations, the promotion of economic and trade relations and investments, as well as the development of business dialogue and other issues.
