Azerbaijan to expand agricultural cooperation with Poland and North Macedonia

A delegation led by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov has visited Poland and North Macedonia to discuss the prospects for cooperation in the field of agriculture between the countries, as well as develop partnership relations in various directions of this sphere.
During the first meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland Robert Telus, the sides hailed the successful cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural field, noting that there is a great potential for further expanding this ties.
The meeting focused on scientific researches in agricultural sector, education, specialist training, land consolidation, agrarian innovations, digitalization of agriculture and other topics. The parties also agreed on the establishment of a working group on agricultural cooperation.
As part of the visit to the Republic of North Macedonia, the Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister Majnun Mammadov also met with Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management Ljupcho Nikolovski. The sides discussed the prospects for cooperation between the countries in the field of agriculture.
Following the meeting, Azerbaijan and North Macedonia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of agriculture, which provides for the establishment of a joint working group on agriculture between the two countries, and expansion of cooperation in crop production, animal husbandry, agricultural education, specialist training, land consolidation and other fields.
During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the leading agricultural enterprises of Poland and North Macedonia, exchanged views on the reduction of agricultural waste, efficient use of water and land resources, innovative environmental solutions, as well as successful practices applied in the agricultural sector.
