Azerbaijan, Turkey close to sign transit agreement
Baku, September 17 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan and Turkey are close to sign in the frame of the 2nd phase Shahdeniz deposit development a transit agreement on transportation of Azerbaijan`s gas to Europe via the territory of Turkey, Natig Aliyev, Azerbaijan`s industry and energy minister told journalists in his interview in Paris.
At his words, Azerbaijan is satisfied with the volume of gas to be exported to Turkey. But there are still unsolved questions, in particular, the negotiations concerning the transit costs.
“We hope all the questions will find solution and the contract will be signed in the coming months”, Natig Aliyev emphasized.
