Azerbaijan, Ukraine discuss energy cooperation

Baku, 19 September (AZERTAC). A meeting on energy cooperation has been held today here with the participation of Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boiko and Azerbaijan`s Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev.

The meeting focused on issues stemming from the Memorandum of Understanding on oil and gas cooperation signed at the meeting of presidents Ilham Aliyev and Viktor Yanukovych in Davos, Switzerland.

They discussed establishment of a joint company on gas transportation between SOCAR and Naftagas, Ukraine`s repaying 5 million of its debt to Azerbaijan for the sale of oil and oil products, transportation of oil and oil products.

A protocol has been signed at the meeting on the issues.
