Azerbaijani ambassador presents his credentials to Irish President

Azerbaijan`s Ambassador accredited to Ireland Elin Suleymanov has presented his credentials to Irish President Michael D. Higgins.
During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed President Ilham Aliyev`s greetings and best wishes for the friendly people of Ireland to President Michael D. Higgins.
Elin Suleymanov noted that he would spare no efforts to contribute to deepening and strengthening relations between the two countries.
President Michael D. Higgins asked Elin Suleymanov to convey his greetings and best wishes to the President and people of Azerbaijan. He also wished ambassador success in his future activities.
President Michael D. Higgins expressed hope for the further expansion of relations between Azerbaijan and Ireland and the establishment of sustainable peace in the South Caucasus.
At the end of the meeting, the official orchestra performed the National Anthem of Azerbaijan at the official residence of the President of Ireland.
As part of the visit, the embassy representatives also held meetings at the Irish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parliament and other institutions. They also met with some Azerbaijani community members living in Ireland.
