AZERBAIJANI BOXERS SCOOP SIX MEDALS IN DAGESTAN
Azerbaijani boxers scooped six medals in the 7th All-Russian tournament in Эzberbash, Dagestan.
The Azeri team’s best result was posted by Namiq Huseynov (54 kg) who knocked all his rivals out of the competition to mount the highest step on the podium.
Azerbaijan’s silver came from Elgun Ahmadov (51 kg).
Four other Azerbaijani boxers Jahangir Asgarov (48 kg), Farhad Ajalov (64 kg), Natiq Alishov (69 kg) and Ilham Hamatov (over 91 kg) won bronze medals.
The Azerbaijani team was led by coaches Shamil Alimjanov and Nazim Mirhuseynov.
