Azerbaijani defense minister meets with Turkish national defense minister

Within the official visit of President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan`s Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with Minister of National Defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar in Zangilan district, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
Emphasizing that he was pleased to meet with his colleague in the liberated Zangilan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov expressed his gratitude for the moral support provided by fraternal Turkey in the Patriotic War. The defense minister expressed confidence that the partnership based on mutual trust, confidence and support will be further developed and strengthened.
Hulusi Akar, in his turn, stressed the importance of such a historic meeting and noted that the strategic alliance is based on friendly and fraternal relations.
The sides also discussed prospects for the development of cooperation in military, military-technical, military-educational and other fields.
