AZERBAIJANI GYMNAST WINS GOLD IN SPOLETO CUP IN ITALY
Azerbaijani gymnast Anna Gurbanova won gold medal with 16,100 points leaving behind Italian Beatrice Zankanaro and Russian Vera Sesina in clubs exercises In the international “Spoleto Cup” Tournament in Italy. In three other individual (rope –15,75 pts; ball – 16,725 pts; ribbon – 16,025 pts) and all-round competitions Anna Gurbanova took the second place. “I was so glad to stand on the pedestal for each type of exercises. I’ve never before managed to win 5 medals in a raw. I dedicate my first gold to the President of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation Ms. Mehriban Aliyeva’s victory in the [parliamentary elections,” she said.
