AZERBAIJANI GYMNASTS ENTER LIST OF EUROPE’S BEST 10 ATHLETES

Azerbaijani gymnasts Aliya Qarayeva and Anna Qurbanova made it into the list of Europe’s best 10 athletes.

Qarayeva and Qurbanova ranked 6th and 10th respectively in the 22nd European Calisthenics Championship in Moscow, where Azerbaijan were drawn in Group B with Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Bulgaria.

Another Azeri gymnast Zeynab Javadli took 8th spot in the event with club.Azerbaijan were 6th in the team event with five ribbons, and 7th in the event with two hoops and three clubs.
