AZERBAIJANI JUDOISTS TO ATTEND INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT IN MINSK

The national judo team of Azerbaijan will take part in the international A Category tournament to be held April 1-2 in Belarussian capital, Minsk. The team’s senior coach Agayar Akhundzade included in his squad Zaur Bagirli and Emin Arzumanov (both 60 kg), Ramin Qasimov and Jafar Jafarli (both 66 kg), bronze medallist of the last world championship Elnur Mammadli (73 kg), Farid Abdullayev and Araz Mukhtarov (both 81 kg), and Qadir Qadirov (over 100 kg).

After the tournament, the Azerbaijani athletes will leave Minsk for Russian capital, Moscow to attend their next A Category one scheduled for April 8-9.

Another Azerbaijani judoist Mehmah Azizov (81 kg), who won gold medal in the recent tournament in Netherlands, will join the national team in Moscow.
