AZERBAIJANI JUDOISTS WIN THREE WORLD VETERANS CHAMPIONSHIP MEDALS
Two judoists out of a three-man Azerbaijan team won medals in world judo veterans championship in France.
The competition brought together about 1200 athletes from 48 countries worldwide.
The Azeri team’s best result was posted by Farhad Rajabli (90 kg) who knocked all his rivals out of the competition to mount the highest step on the podium.
Azerbaijan’s bronze came from Azer Asgarov (100 kg) who also won silver in the absolute weight category.
