Azerbaijani male U18 volleyball players to compete in EEVZA tournament

Azerbaijani male U18 volleyball players will contest medals in the Eastern European Volleyball Zonal Association (EEVZA) championship to be held in Georgia on December 5-9.
Along with Azerbaijan, the tournament will see volleyball players from Georgia, Ukraine, Estonia, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.
EEVZA was founded back in 2005 in Jurmala (Latvia) by seven countries, i.e. Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. Azerbaijan and Georgia joined EEVZA at a later stage.
EEVZA aim at developing Volleyball and Beach Volleyball in the Eastern European region, with a focus on youth and the grassroots level, while promoting a good collaboration and friendship between all member federations.
The EEVZA tournament is a qualification for "EURO-2024". The winning team will qualify for the final stage of the European Championship.
