AZERBAIJANI PARALYMPIANS WIN 6 MEDALS IN SWEDEN
The National Paralympian Committee of Azerbaijan said five out of six members of the national paralympian team, led by senior coach Sergey Tahmazov, won medals in world paralympian athletics championship in Bollnas, Sweden.
In broad jump competitions, Oleg Panyutin, winner of Athens Paralympic Games and World Championship, world record-holder, and Azerbaijani champion Vladimir Zayets won gold and bronze medals respectively.
Zayets also took gold in triple jump, while another Azerbaijani sportsmen Zeynidin Bilalov, silver medallist of Athens Paralympic Games, became silver medallist.
European champion Aleksandr Polischuk brought one more gold medal to the Azerbaijani team by winning in 60 meters race.
Azerbaijani champion Elchin Muradov was third in this event.
Bronze medallist of the European championship Vugar Adishirinov ranked fifth in 800 meters race competitions.
