Azerbaijani Paralympic powerlifter crowned European champion

Azerbaijani athlete Elshan Huseynov has won a gold medal at the 2018 European Open Para Powerlifting Championships in Berck-sur-Mer, France.
He sealed the medal after lifting a total of 230kg.
Nurlan Babajanov captured bronze with a lift of 197kg.
On the first day of the tournament, Parvin Mammadov became the European champion, while female athlete Aytan Baghirova grabbed a bronze medal.
