Azerbaijani rescuers attend international "Caspian-2011" exercises
Baku, October 1(Azertac). Rescue units of Azerbaijan attended the "Caspian-2011"international exercises, which took place in the northern part of Caspian Sea on September 29-30.
Rescue teams from Kazakhstan and Russia also participated in the exercises.
The exercises were carried out in the area of marine ice-resistant stationary platform (MISP) in the Yuri Korchagin field and in the laboratory of a semi-submersible drilling rig (SFAS) "Astra", which carries out exploratory drilling in the Sarmatian site, owned by Lukoil.
Exercises showed a high degree of coordination and interaction of all forces and means, as well as the availability of sufficient equipment and materials necessary for emergency response related to exploration and production of hydrocarbon reserves in the Caspian the sea.
