The qualification round of the World cup IN skeet-shooting took place in Cairo.

Sydney Olympic winner Zemfira Meftakhetdinova ranked 6th scoring 91. It was only first-placed Slovenian Danka Bartekova who qualified for the 29th Beijing Olympic Games. In men’s section, Emin Jafarov ranked 80th among 92 athletes garnering 43 points.

Olympic Qualification competition in pistol and rifle is due to be held in Munich May 22-29. World Cup winner, bronze medallist of the Athens Olympic Games Irada Ashumova, bronze medallist of the European Championship Nigar Bagirova and Azerbaijan champion Ruslan Juniyov will compete in 10 m, 25 m and 50 m pistol shooting.
