Azerbaijani tax expert elected to UN Subcommittee

Jeyhun Ismayilov, the Deputy Head of the Main Department of International Taxation and Tax Monitoring at Azerbaijan's State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, has been elected as a member of the UN Subcommittee on Transfer Pricing of the Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters.
The UN Subcommittee on Transfer Pricing serves as an expert platform contributing to the development of practical guidance on transfer pricing, with particular consideration for the needs of developing countries.
The Subcommittee’s mandate includes updating the UN Practical Manual on Transfer Pricing for Developing Countries, developing transfer pricing methodologies for various sectors and addressing issues related to the determination of profits attributable to permanent establishments.
Jeyhun Ismayilov is also a member of the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) expert group, which comprises 25 members. The group’s mandate includes defining the key strategic directions of the BEPS project, which brings together representatives from 148 countries, and contributing to the development of international tax rules.
