Azerbaijan’s crude oil exports to Bulgaria increase sharply
Baku, August 19, AZERTAC
In January-July 2026, Azerbaijan exported 358,842.99 tonnes of crude oil to Bulgaria, marking a 4.5-fold increase, or 279,582.14 tonnes, compared with the same period last year, according to the State Customs Committee.
The value of crude oil exports totaled $253.114 million, which is 5.2 times higher, or $204.882 million more, than in the same period last year.
In the first seven months of the year, crude oil exports to Bulgaria accounted for 2.82 percent of Azerbaijan’s total oil exports.
According to data on crude oil exports that completed customs clearance during the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 12,722,590.97 tonnes of crude oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous rocks to 11 countries, with a total export value of $8.033 billion.
