Azerbaijan`s Deputy foreign minister visits Turkey
Ankara, March 12 (AZERTAC). Deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov is on working visit in Turkey.
On March 11, Azimov has met with Turkey`s foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu. Prospects of cooperation between the two countries` foreign policy departments, settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and questions of regional concern were focused.
The same day, Chief of Turkish Army General Staff Ishik Koshaner has met with the deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Turkey Faig Bagirov took part at the meetings.
As a part of Azimov`s visit, a conference on the Azerbaijan`s foreign policy and the Turkish-Azerbaijani relations took place at the Bilkent University, where Azimov highlighted on the foreign policy priorities of Azerbaijan, the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the issues of cooperation with Turkey.
Azerbaijan`s deputy foreign minister has delivered a lecture at the conference on the topic “Foreign policy of Azerbaijan: opportunities and problems” at the International Strategic Studies Center (USAK) supported by the embassy of Azerbaijan in this country. The conference was attended by foreign diplomats in Turkey and media representatives.
At the conference, Azimov widely dwelled on Azerbaijan`s integration to the Eurasian structures, cooperation with Turkey in bilateral and international format, settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the obstacles it caused in regional cooperation, large economic projects being implemented by active participation of Azerbaijan.
