Azerbaijan`s embassy prevents tours to Nagorno-Karabakh
Baku, January 6 (AZERTAC). The embassy of Azerbaijan has prevented tourist travels to Nagorno-Karabakh planned by the Regent Holidays company (UK) for August this year.
After getting information about travels scheduled to the self-proclaimed “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic”, the embassy of Azerbaijan contacted the Regent Holidays to inform that such tours will be what it considers the violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The company was briefed about the world community`s, in particular, UK`s stance on the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. It was underlined UK recognizes territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and that persons who will visit Nagorno-Karabakh without Baku`s permit will be denied entry to Azerbaijan in the future.
The Regent Holidays management stated it cancelled its plans to organize travels to Nagorno-Karabakh and would remove announcement on its website.
