Azerbaijan`s National Day marked in Jordan
Baku, May 23 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Embassy marked the country`s National Day in Jordan.
Ambassador Elman Arasli said both Jordan and Azerbaijan see eye-to-eye on vairous Arab, Islamic and international issues, mainly the Palestinian cause and the need to achieve peace in the Middle East.
Both countries, he said should take practical steps to forge closer economic, industrial and investment cooperation.
Arasli said that Jordan and Azerbaijan signed 40 cooperation agreements, adding that the Jordanian-Azeri Committee held important meetings, the last of which was in the Azeri capital Baku.
"Relations between Jordan and Azerbaijan are steadily developing thanks to keenness of the leadership of both countries", Arasli said, highlighting the importance of King`s Abdullah`s visits to Azerbaijan and visits of the Azeri President Ilham Aliyev to the Kingdom.
The Ambassador said that his country appreciates the King`s supportive stance towards Azerbaijan and its causes.
He highlighted the important role of King Abdullah II in bringing about peace and stability in the region and the world.
