Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev commemorated in Budapest

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary has organized an event to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the death of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The event was attended by embassy employees, Azerbaijanis living in Budapest and representatives of the local community. The participants laid flowers at a bust of the national leader.
Ambassador Tahir Taghizade highlighted Heydar Aliyev`s invaluable services in the history of Azerbaijan's statehood, historical role in preserving the country`s independence and strengthening its statehood. He noted that as a result of the policy founded by the national leader and successfully continued by Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, an historic victory was achieved in the 44-day Patriotic War and the country`s territorial integrity was restored.
