Azerbaijan’s Shusha city elected as OIC Youth Capital for 2024

The Azerbaijani city of Shusha, the pearl of Karabakh, has been elected as the Youth Capital of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for 2024.
Such a decision was made at the 11th meeting of the Executive Council of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum.
The selection committee of the "Youth Capital 2024" international program, implemented by the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, unanimously decided to elect Azerbaijan's Shusha, whose candidacy was nominated for 2024, as the youth capital of the OIC.
The Azerbaijani delegation included Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Farhad Hajiyev and Deputy Head of the Department of Youth Affairs of the Ministry Ulviyya Akhundova.
Speaking to the media following the meeting, Farhad Hajiyev said that it was matter of proud for all the country citizens to elect Shusha as the 10th Youth Capital as part of this project that lacunhed in Istanbul. "The main goal of this project is to bring together the youth of the world. Young people from different countries will join the events organized next year, as well as will get acquainted with the historic city of Shusha and young people from Shusha," he added.
