Azerbaijan`s top migration official visits Turkey

Baku, February 28 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani State Migration Service Chief Arzu Rahimov paid an official visit to Turkey at the invitation of Turkey`s Ministries of the Interior and Labour of Social Security.

According to the press service of Azerbaijan State Migration Service, Mr. Rahimov met with Head of Azerbaijan-Turkey interparliamentary friendship group, Mustafa Kabakci, as well as Turkish Interior Minister Basir Atalay, Central Police Department Chief, Colonel-General Oguz Kagan Koksal, Turkey`s Minister of Labor and Social Security Omer Dincer.

Cooperative relations, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, current visa regime between Azerbaijan and Turkey, improvement of migration-related legislation and other issues were discussed in the meetings.

The Azerbaijani delegation also met with Yahya Bilgiç, Head of Department for Foreigners Borders and Asylum Ministry of the Interior, got acquainted with the center for temporary detention of illegal migrants.
