Azeri agriculture minister meets head of WB mission
Baku, March 31 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abbasov has met head of World Banks mission Nikolas Ahouissoussi.
Abbasov praised the WB`s assistance to Azerbaijan in carrying out agricultural programs, in particular modernization of the Scientific and Research Institute of Planting.
Abbasov said the Ministry supported the WB’s initiative on the impact of global climate change on agriculture.
He noted there were good opportunities for deepening cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank.
Ahouissoussi said the WB would continue assisting Azerbaijan in modernizing its agricultural sector.
He stressed the importance of the WB`s initiative on the impact of global climate change on agriculture, adding discussions on the issue were very fruitful.
