Azeri Consul General addresses seminar in Los Angeles
Washington. May 8 (AZERTAC). Consul General of Azerbaijan Elin Suleymanov has addressed a seminar as part of an annual conference organized by the United States` leading academic center Pacific Council on International Policy in Los Angeles.
The seminar was also attended by Consul General of Israel Jacob Dayan, Consul General of Hungary Balazs Bokor, representative of think tank RAND Dalia Kaye and Chapman University professor James Coyle.
The participants reviewed ongoing developments in the Middle East.
Suleymanov stressed Azerbaijan`s strategic role in Eurasia and the country`s contribution to intercultural dialogue. The diplomat underlined the importance of promoting tolerance, raising living standards, regional integration, and also refusing radicalism to ensure long-term development of democratic institutions.
On Azerbaijan-U.S. security and energy cooperation, the Consul General stressed the importance of a consistent approach to the region by Washington.
