AZERI FINANCE MINISTER MEETS IRANIAN AND QATARI COUNTERPARTS
Baku, June 25 (AZERTAC). Finance minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov has met visiting Iranian and Qatari counterparts Shamsaddin Husseini and Yusif Husayn Kamal respectively.
The discussions focused on a number of matters, including the ways of enhancing the effectiveness of government spending and developing mutual economic cooperation.
They also discussed the expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran, Azerbaijan and Qatar in finance, banking and insurance sectors and prospects for development of experience exchange.
Minister Sharifov briefed his counterparts on the ongoing economic reforms in Azerbaijan. He noted the global financial crisis did not affect Azerbaijan thanks to the country`s leadership`s anti-crisis measures.
