Azeri FM in Spain for official visit
Baku, June 16 (AzerTAC). Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov is in Spain for an official visit.
The Azeri minister gave interview to Spain`s El Mundo newspaper as part of his visit to Spain. He spoke of relations between two countries and development of prospects of these relations.
Mammadyarov met with Alfredo Bonet, Minister of Industry, Tourism and Trade of Spain. The parties discussed present situation, development and prospects of the relations between the countries, as well as cooperation in the framework of the European Union and noted the importance of opening the Spanish embassy in Azerbaijan.
The Azeri minister briefed the Spanish official on achievements, oil and gas policy, projects realized in Azerbaijan.
Speaking in the meeting, Bonet spoke of Spain`s foreign policy and main trade partners, noting his country`s interest in expanding relations with Azerbaijan.
Mammadyarov noted the importance of organizing a business forum between the two countries. He stressed the possibility of signing relevant legal documents in economic sphere during such events.
Deputy CEO of Spanish Company on Export Credit Insurance, representatives of Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and “Tecnicas Reunidas” company highlighted the significance of conducting the forum, noting their readiness to visit Azerbaijan to this end.
