Azeri FM meets deputy foreign minister of Japan
Baku, May 7 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s FM Elmar Mammadyarov met Japan`s deputy foreign minister Hisashi Tokunaga.
Mr. Tokunaga handed a letter of gratitude of Japanese FM over to Mr. Mammadyarov. Mr. Tokunaga praised the assistance of the government of Azerbaijan to Japan as a result of the natural disaster. He said this step is a symbol of friendship between the two countries. The guest briefed on the work done to eliminate consequences of the natural disaster.
Mr. Mammadyarov said the government of Azerbaijan is ready to further render assistance to Japan. Azeri FM said as a result of Armenia`s aggression and ethnic purge against Azerbaijan, over one million people became refugees and IDPs.
The sides also stressed the necessity of expanding relations in the spheres of policy, economy and energy.
