Azeri MP discusses trafficking in humans in Egypt
Cairo, December 13 (AZERTAC). Ganira Pashayeva, member of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan met with Anne-Marie Lizin, honorary president of the Belgian Senate on the sidelines of an international forum “End human trafficking now: enforcing the UN protocol” to be held in Luxor, Egypt on December 10-12.
Pashayeva informed the Belgian official on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and present state of peace talks.
She noted genocides committed against Azerbaijanis are gravest outrages on humanity and, according to her, international community must express its opinion on the matter.
Lizin told of the international fight against trafficking in humans and stressed the importance of international cooperation and role of NGOs in combating human trafficking.
Pashayeva told of the work done in this field.
Attending the meeting, director of application of high technologies Sevda Abdullayeva briefed Lizin on the progress achieved by Azerbaijan in combating the trafficking.
