Azeri MP holds meetings in Israel
Baku, June 4 (AZERTAC). As part of her visit to Israel, Azerbaijani parliamentarian, member of the PACE Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men, Ganira Pashayeva has met State Minister of Ecuador Nathalie Cely Suárez, education minister of Bhutan Pema Dema, agriculture minister of Maldives Shafia Aminat, higher education minister of Kenya Hellen Jepkemoi Sambili.
The Azeri MP also met vice-governor of Argentine`s Neuquén government Ana Maria Pechen, UNICEF representative Malinka Koparanova, vice chancellor of University of Colombo of Sri Lanka Kshanika Hirimburegama, director of department of Mexico University Marcia Hiriart, director of department of Japan`s Kobe University Roumiana Tsenkova, director of department of Spain`s Science and Innovation Ministry Inés Sánchez de Madariaga.
Pashayeva briefed them on the acts of vandalism committed by Armenians in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. She said as a result of the occupation policy of Armenia, about one million Azerbaijanis became refugees and IDPs within their country.
She said thousands of Azerbaijanis were brutally killed when Armenia occupied the territories of Azerbaijan, adding they were taken hostage and tortured. Pashayeva noted Armenia often violates ceasefire regime and innocent people, including women and children are killed by Armenian snipers. She underscored all women of the world must not remain indifferent to Armenia`s these acts of vandalism.
Pashayeva also presented books and other materials on the Azerbaijani realities to them.
