Azeri PM meets speaker of Lithuanian Seimas
Baku, February 8 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade has today met with the Lithuanian delegation led by Speaker of the Seimas Irena Degutiene.
The PM expressed satisfaction with development of relations between the two countries.
Mr. Rasizade praised the interaction in the political field.
He stressed the importance of expanding economic cooperation.
The Azeri PM expressed assurance the Azerbaijan-Lithuania business forum in Baku would contribute economic prospects.
Mrs. Degutiene expressed pleasure over her visit to Azerbaijan, for having a chance to closely familiarize herself with the country.
She said nearly 40 companies from Lithuania would participate in the business forum.
The Speaker also noted the majority of companies were interested in cooperation in the non-oil sector, in particular information technologies and food industry.
Mrs. Degutiene recalled Azerbaijan has been the main trade partner of Lithuania in the Southern Caucasus since 2008.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual concern.
