AZERI TAXES MINISTER MEETS AUSTRIAN FEDERAL MINISTRY OF FINANCE`S STATE SECRETARY
Baku, September 2 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov met Wednesday State Secretary at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance Reinhold Lopatka and his accompanying delegation.
Mammadov said the Austrian delegation`s visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
The Minister praised the relationship between Azerbaijan and Austria.
He also highlighted the ongoing economic development processes in the country.
Mammadov noted his country was keen on cooperation with the European countries.
He recalled documents signed between Azerbaijan and Austria on promotion of investments, elimination of double taxation with respect to property and incomes.
According to the Minister, taxes structures of Azerbaijan and Austria enjoy close cooperation within Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA), as well.
For his part, Lopatka hailed the “accomplishments achieved by the Azerbaijani authorities for a short period”.
He also praised the fact that the global financial crisis did not affect Azerbaijan, though the European countries, including Austria suffered it very much. He also added the European countries should learn Azerbaijan`s this experience.
