AZERI WRESTLERS CLAIM SILVER AT EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
National team comprising of six wrestlers led by chief coach Aslan Agayev attended the European Freestyle Wrestling Championship ended in Moscow ‘Luzhniki’.
Olympic champion, world winner Namig Abullayev (55kg) reached final by beating Amiran Karitanov /Gre/ in 1/8 final, Krashmir Krastanov /Bul/ in 1/4, and Andreyev (Bel) in 1/2.
Namig Abdullayev losing Ukrainian wrestler, fivefold European champion Alexander Zakharok won silver.
Three days ago, Rovshan Bayramov (55kg) and Fuad Aliyev ( 60kg) snatched bronze medals of the European Graeco -Roman Championship.
