The Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) and the Azerbaijan National Anti-doping Agency (AMADA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation.
The MoU was inked by Vugar Aliyev, AZERTAC Chairman of the Board, and Tahmina Taghi-zada, AMADA Executive Director.
The document envisages strengthening awareness-raising and advocacy efforts in the field of anti-doping, as well as the mutual exchange of information on events held at the national and international levels.
In his remarks, Vugar Aliyev noted that AZERTAC provides extensive coverage of numerous prestigious national and international sporting events. Expressing his confidence that cooperation with AMADA would be successful, the Chairman of the Board described the agreement as an important step toward promoting clean sport in Azerbaijan, as well as ensuring the prompt and comprehensive delivery of information to the public on the fight against doping in sports. He particularly underscored the significance of cooperation in organizing joint awareness campaigns aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and fair sport.
AMADA Executive Director Tahmina Taghi-zada stressed the importance of the MoU, noting that the document would make a significant contribution to anti-doping awareness-raising efforts and the systematic dissemination of relevant information among the public. According to her, the fight against doping is not confined to control and regulations alone, but also requires raising awareness across all segments of society. She added that, in this regard, cooperation with AZERTAC creates a reliable and effective platform for conveying the values of clean sport to a broad audience.
