AZERTAC and Mozambique News Agency sign memorandum of cooperation

The Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) and the Mozambique News Agency (AIM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation and news exchange on July 14 on the sidelines of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum.
The document was signed by Vugar Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC, and Orlando Voabil Gambeta, Director General of AIM.
The memorandum establishes a legal framework for cooperation in the field of news exchange, aims to develop mutually beneficial relations between the two agencies, and seeks to expand cooperation in the information sector.
Under the memorandum, the parties will exchange English-language news, photo, and video materials free of charge through their existing technological channels.
The document also provides for cooperation in organizing experience-sharing initiatives, training sessions, study visits, and exchange programs for journalists, editors, and technical specialists.
In addition, the memorandum envisages joint efforts to combat fake news and disinformation, exchange experience in emerging media technologies, including artificial intelligence, provide mutual information support, and implement joint media projects.
