Baku hosts conference on Eastern Partnership achievements
Baku, May 18 (AZERTAC). A conference titled “Eastern Partnership after 2 years - achievements and challenges” took place here today.
The agenda of the conference includes reports on the activities done as a part of the Eastern Partnership Program during two years, European integration process as well as achievements in various spheres in the partner states.
The participants exchanged views on “democracy, stability and management of the borders”, “economic integration and coordination to the European Union’s policy”, “energy, climate changes and environment”, “relations between people” and other themes.
The Eastern Partnership (EaP) is a project which was initiated by the European Union (EU) and was inaugurated in Prague on 7 May 2009. It is an organization aiming to improve the political and economic trade-relations of the six Post-Soviet states - Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia with the European Union.
