Baku hosts event marking Indonesia’s National Day

The Embassy of Indonesia in Baku hosted several events to mark the 81st anniversary of its country’s independence.
The events aimed at fostering solidarity among the members of the Indonesian community, as well as enhancing the Azerbaijan-Indonesia ties.
On August 17, an Indonesian national flag hoisting ceremony took place, involving Berlian Helmy, Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, as well as Indonesian students studying in Azerbaijan.
The ceremony commenced with a minute of silence. Subsequently, Indonesia’s Declaration of Independence, Pancasila; as well as the Preamble to the country’s 1945 Constitution were read out.
