Baku hosts international conference “Cross borders, save children”
Baku, September 29 (AZERTAC). The international conference titled “Cross borders, save children” was organized on Thursday in Baku as part of the Don`t Kill the Children campaign, launched by the Azerbaijan Children Organization and “Keeping promise to our children” project of the Children Uniting Nations (the United States).
The event has brought together state officials, members of the Milli Majlis, foreign diplomats, general public and press.
Addressing the conference MP Gular Ahmadova emphasized the activities of the Azerbaijan`s First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, ISESCO and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva in the field of protection and promotion children`s rights.
The participants of the conference emphasized the importance of the protection of children`s rights and international cooperation in this area.
The participants also watched a video clip produced by the Justice for Khojaly campaign, launched by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The conference was followed by the signing of intention agreement on cooperation between the Azerbaijan Children`s Organization and Children Uniting Nations.
