Baku hosts international conference on civil society development in Azerbaijan
Baku, May 20 (AZERTAC). An international conference titled “Civil society development in Azerbaijan” was held here on Thursday.
The event was co-organized by the Center for Economic and Social Development (CESD) and EU delegation to the country.
Vugar Bayramov, chairman of CESD briefed the participants on series of events held by Civil Society Forum.
Chairman of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of Azerbaijan, MP Azay Guliyev highlighted the importance of actions undertaken to develop civil society, adding Azerbaijan is interested in European integration.
Antonella Valmorbida, chair of the Civil Society Forum underlined the work done by Azerbaijan`s civil society organizations would contribute to strengthening Azerbaijan-Europe relations.
