BAKU HOSTS SEMINAR ON NEW TRENDS IN AGRICULTURAL FINANCING
Baku, June 22 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s capital has hosted A seminar on New Trends in Agricultural Financing.
The event was organized by Association of the National Development Financing Institutions, ADFIMI.
The seminar featured discussions on ways of developing agriculture, ensuring food security and decreasing poverty level in Islamic countries.
In his remarks, Mohammad Al-Saati, Director for Operations Policy and Services Department at the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), said developing agriculture was of great importance for decreasing the level of poverty. Al-Saati emphasized the importance of cooperation between the IDB and ADFIMI.
Zainul Ariff Hussain, Chairman of ADFIMI Advisory Committee, stressed the necessity of investing in agriculture and increasing the competitiveness in the agrarian sector.
