Baku marks Israel Independence Day
Baku, May 17 (AZERTAC). Israeli Embassy in Baku organized a reception on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the Independence Day in Landmark Business Center.
The Israeli deputy minister of Communications Eden Bar Tal also participated in the reception.
Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Michael Lavon-Lotem provided information on the history of establishment of the State of Israel, bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Israel.
Addressing the reception, Azerbaijan Minister of Labor and Social Protection Fuzuli Alakbarov congratulated the Jewish people on behalf of the Azerbaijani government. The minister stressed development of cooperation in economic and cultural spheres between the two countries.
The reception brought together Azeri officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps in Baku, the Jewish and local community.
