BAKU TO HOST 23rd EUROPEAN GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIP
The agreement to hold the competition in the Azerbaijani capital was reached by the Federation’s President first lady Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva and President of the European Union of Gymnastics (EUG) Dimitrios Dimitropoulos during his visit to Baku.
The EUG experts met with members of the steering committee in Baku to discuss a number of technical issues as well as visited hotels which will house athletes, referees, EUG officials and representatives of foreign media, and viewed the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex where the championship will be held.
The competition will be broadcasted by Azerbaijan’s television channel Lider.
The number of countries who will attend the European Gymnastics Championship is thirty-three.
